Training and Prevention of Child Abuse | All who wish to volunteer to work with children and youth at the chapel must take a course regarding Grace Bible Chapel's Training and Prevention of Child Abuse Policy. All materials for this course can be found on the web page. Please follow these instructions:
1. Obtain a criminal background check. (Candidates for the course must now go in person to the police station in order to request a criminal background check. Please keep your receipt for the background check, and Grace Bible Chapel will be happy to reimburse you for the cost. Please remember to bring your drivers licence & other photo id. At the police station, they will want to photocopy the front and back of your licence.) 2. Read GBC Child Abuse Prevention 2010 (link for this policy is on top of this page) 3. After you read the policy, complete the quiz (link for this quiz is below). Make certain to fill in your name and sign the declaration at bottom. When printing this out, select pages 1-3 on your printer. 4. Print out and complete Appendiz 3: Volunteer Application form (go to policy link above, scroll down to Appendix 3 and print pages 18-20). Fill out the application. 5. Place all of these documents (a copy of the criminal background check, completed quiz with printed name and signed declaration, and Appendix 3 - application form) in Jeremy Hall's mailbox.
